How much is a DNA test?
Due to potential changes, our website does not display most of our test prices. For the most up-to-date pricing, we recommend reaching out to us by phone.
Do you offer payment plans?
Certainly! We understand financial challenges can arise. For many of our services, we provide a payment plan allowing clients to pay a portion of their test fee at the appointment booking, with the remainder due before receiving the results.
When do I have to pay for the appointment?
Unlike many competitors who require full payment upfront for appointment scheduling, our process is different. A deposit is necessary to secure and confirm your appointment, and the remaining balance is settled before receiving the testing results. This approach allows flexibility and ensures a smoother experience for our clients.
What happens if I suffer a miscarriage while awaiting test results?
We understand that challenging situations may arise, and we are committed to navigating the testing process with empathy. If circumstances make it impractical to proceed with the test, we will promptly reach out to discuss the best possible resolution with you. Your understanding and cooperation are highly valued during such sensitive times.
If I have trouble with my pregnancy or change my mind about the test, can I get a refund?
We understand that unforeseen issues may arise, and we want to clarify our policy. Once an appointment is set, expenses related to your case are incurred. Unfortunately, these expenses are nonrefundable, regardless of the circumstances surrounding your pregnancy. We incur these costs to provide you with the best service, and they must be covered regardless of the outcome. Before confirming your appointment, please ensure you are prepared to make the necessary financial commitment to proceed with the test. Your understanding in this matter is greatly appreciated.
How far in advance can I book an appointment?
We generally provide our clients with appointment options as early as the next business day. In certain instances, we can also accommodate same-day testing appointments.
Where are your offices located?
We maintain company-owned establishments across various states, in addition to affiliated locations nationwide. Please contact us to facilitate the scheduling of an appointment tailored to your requirements and preferred location.
Instead of coming into your office for an appointment, can you come to my home?
Certainly. We readily provide mobile, off-site appointments at clients’ residences. If your location falls within a reasonable distance from our service area and you are amenable to covering a trip charge, if applicable, to offset our staff member’s travel expenses, we can accommodate the appointment at your preferred location.
How early can the NiPP test be performed?
Clients have the flexibility to schedule Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity (NiPP) appointments with us as early as 7 weeks gestational age.
How can you test my baby’s DNA before it is born?
The foundation of our partner laboratory’s core technology lies in its capability to enhance the percentage of fetal DNA present in the mother’s blood. Leveraging extensive research on free-floating fetal DNA, the lab has successfully developed and patented various noninvasive prenatal tests, streamlining the process with a simple routine blood draw from the mother’s arm.
What is the turnaround time on NiPP results?
With rush processing, Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity (NiPP) test results can be expedited and ready in as quickly as 3 working days. The standard turnaround time without rush processing is up to 3 weeks.
What do I need to bring to the NiPP appointment?
The Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity (NiPP) test appointment is a straightforward process. Upon arrival, the pregnant mother and alleged father, each presenting their government-issued identification, complete a brief consent form. Subsequently, we collect DNA samples by performing a cheek swab on the father and drawing a small blood sample from the mother’s arm. Following the collection, all samples are sent to our lab for testing. Results can be available in as few as 3 business days with rush processing.
I want a NiPP test but there are more than 2 potential fathers. What do I do?
For cases involving 2 or more potential fathers, testing all candidates simultaneously is more cost-effective than adding fathers later. Please contact us to coordinate the logistics of the appointment(s) and ensure all involved parties are comfortable with the testing arrangements. During the discussion, we will provide details on the pricing for adding potential fathers to the same case.
Does health insurance cover DNA testing?
We offer multiple payment options for our services, including cash, debit cards, and all major credit cards. Additionally, electronic forms of payment such as Apple Pay, Paypal, and CashApp are accepted. While insurance is not currently accepted, we are actively exploring options to incorporate health insurance as a payment method in the future.
Are your testing services accredited?
Certainly. Our proficient team, comprising licensed and certified phlebotomists and specimen collectors, is duly authorized and contracted to gather DNA specimens for the nation’s premier accredited facilities. Consequently, we ensure the provision of precise chain-of-custody test results to our clients, suitable for deployment in legal, court, or official proceedings.
Do both parties have to come in for the appointment at the same time?
We have the capability to schedule individual appointments for the test parties, and there may be a nominal additional fee associated with this specific accommodation.
Can you perform a DNA test on parties located in 2 different cities/states?
Certainly. We can coordinate appointments for test parties situated in various locations. It is important to be aware that an additional fee may be applicable for this service.
